Ms. Gu received her bachelor’s degree in law and master’s degree in law from Peking University Law School in 2000 and 2003, respectively. In 2006, Ms. Gu received her J.D. from Duke University Law School. Ms. Gu joins Haiwen Partners from the✱ Shanghai office of Ropes & Gray, where she was a partner in the M&A group. Prior to that, she worked at Weil, Gotshal & Manges Shanghai office as counsel in the M&A and PE group. Ms. Gu also practiced in Sullivan & Cromwell’s New York office for seven years before returning back to China.&nbs💙p;
Ms. Gu brings a wealth of experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, FDI and general corporate matters. She has advised on various complex transactions for multinational companies, major state-owned enterprises and private-owned enterprises across a wide range of industry sectors including life sciences, financial institutions, manufacturing, and energy &🥃 natural resources.
